GDC is China's first large-scale comprehensive design competition annual exhibition event aimed at the world, held every two years. GDC, formerly known as Graphic Design in China, was founded by the Shenzhen Graphic Design Association in 1992. This design competition has become the most influential, high-level, authoritative, and fair design event in the Chinese speaking world.

The predecessor of the Academy of Fine Arts Education was the Normal Department, established in 1981 and celebrated its thirtieth anniversary this year. The works of this exhibition, in addition to more than 50 in-service teachers from various majors, also include the works of several external professors from our college who were invited to participate in the exhibition. Due to the multitude of disciplines in our college, the display of our works is very diverse and complex. I believe this is also the fundamental difference between our college and other professional departments.

This exhibition also made us strongly feel the dedicated exploration of photography forms and language by Shenzhen photographers. Art exploration is certainly a personal act of artists, but when we witness many photographers working together to innovate in the form of graphic language, we should have a premonition that an era of photography's advancement has arrived.

"Dialogue - Invitation Exhibition of Returned Oil Painters' Works" will showcase 65 oil paintings by thirteen artists who have lived or studied in the United States, Russia, Germany, and the United Kingdom. To showcase to the public the excellent works created by three generations of returning artists, including the elderly, middle-aged, and young, who have lived and studied abroad for many years, and to share their thoughts and artistic concepts under the influence of multiculturalism.

Li Jinkun is a rising star among Lingnan painters with a strong artistic personality. He carefully understands, feels, and savors the techniques of his predecessors, reaching out to tradition and life, experiencing creation from life, learning tradition from creation, and cleverly transforming traditional brushstrokes into personalized techniques, freely entering and exiting between tradition and the present.

Since the 1980s, Wang Jian has been shuttling and wandering between ancient, modern, central, and western cultures with his keen vision and insight. He has long been interested in and deeply studied traditional Chinese art, Western classical, and contemporary art, giving him unique insights and understanding in both calligraphy and painting, forming a unique appearance.

The 2011 Invitational Exhibition of Chinese Painting by Famous Chinese Artists will be exhibited at the Guanshan Yue Art Museum in Shenzhen, a key national art museum. This exhibition is an annual permanent art exhibition led by the Education, Science, Culture and Health Working Committee of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Congress, in collaboration with the Shenzhen Bureau of Culture, Culture and Tourism, the Shenzhen Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on Culture, History and Learning, and the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles. It showcases the landscape, figure, and flower and bird paintings created by six famous Henan painters, Ma Guoqiang, Yuan Rubo, Xie Bingyi, Feng Shuguang, Lian Junzhou, and Shi Xingkun, in recent years. It is the first concentrated appearance of Henan Chinese painting in Shenzhen!

Mr. Yang Deheng was born in September 1939 in Dandong, Liaoning. In 1956, he was admitted to the Affiliated Middle School of Northeast Art College. In 1964, he graduated from the Flower and Bird Painting Department of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. The eight years of study at the Academy of Fine Arts have laid a solid foundation for its specialization. After more than 50 years of professional learning and practice, combining artistic exploration with life experience, the art of meticulous flower and bird painting has gradually reached its ultimate level. He is a high-ranking figure of Professor Zhao Mengzhu and Professor Zhong Zhifu, who values learning from his teachers and conveys the spirit of the times through his writing. Skilled in meticulous brushwork and heavy colors, with a long and boneless appearance, particularly skilled in painting cranes, his works convey a pure, upright, peaceful, and elegant atmosphere.
