Exhibition highlights

This exhibition is the first to set up a special exhibition in the Bay Area, featuring 26 cases and a total of 281 pieces/set. It is currently being exhibited at the Guan Shanyue Art Museum

Exhibiting excellent designs and public art works from the Bay Area urban agglomerations of Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and other regions

Divided into five sections: "Charming Bay Area," "Symbiosis Bay Area," "Trendy Bay Area," "Visual Bay Area," and "Creative Bay Area."

The first China Design Exhibition is a national level professional design exhibition jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, organized by the Art Department of the Ministry of Culture, the Propaganda Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Shenzhen "City of Design" Promotion Office, and the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It is also the largest design project held in Shenzhen since it was named the "City of Design" by UNESCO.

This is the first comprehensive exhibition showcasing Shenzhen's design since becoming the United Nations Creative City Network - the City of Design. The aim is to outline the development of Shenzhen's design, showcase the most outstanding designers and representative works of Shenzhen, and promote the influence of Shenzhen's design.

With the strong support of the Propaganda Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and the Shenzhen Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as the strong cooperation of the Guan Shan Yue Art Museum and the Hong Kong Illustrators Association, this activity has been increasing in scale and influence year by year. The art form of illustration is gradually being understood by more people and has spread nationwide, forming a trend. As an important component of the cultural industry, illustrations have broad support and penetration for the creative design industry, and have significant aesthetic influence on social and cultural forms. The National Illustration Art Exhibition, headquartered in Shenzhen, has become the most authoritative, professional, large-scale, and high-level biennial exhibition in the domestic illustration art industry.

GDC is China's first large-scale comprehensive design competition annual exhibition event aimed at the world, held every two years. GDC, formerly known as Graphic Design in China, was founded by the Shenzhen Graphic Design Association in 1992. This design competition has become the most influential, high-level, authoritative, and fair design event in the Chinese speaking world.

The "Star Source Real Estate · Green and Low Carbon Building International Design Competition", sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, organized by the Shenzhen Guanshan Yue Art Museum, and co organized by the Shenzhen Illustration Association, aims to drive architectural practice through design and stimulate public attention through competitions. It officially kicked off in December 2009. As of April 2010, the organizing committee of the competition had received over 900 entries (nearly 2700 pieces), and after fair and impartial evaluation by domestic and foreign green building experts and judges, the various awards set for the competition were selected. Now, the organizing committee of the competition has selected over 50 excellent entries (nearly 150) to be exhibited at the Guanshan Yue Art Museum in Shenzhen.

Illustration design is standing out in the wave of industrialization, urbanization, marketization, globalization, and informatization. As a visual art form with a long history but never lacking innovation and keeping up with the times, illustration design is profoundly influencing the color and progress of culture, economy, society, and other aspects in an aesthetic way, constantly enriching its own forms of expression, expanding its aesthetic territory, and promoting its own transformation and growth. Because of this, we have found that more and more young illustration designers are passionately immersing themselves in this creative and dreamy art field.

    The Shenzhen and Hong Kong Design Invitational Exhibition takes "Ronghui" as the theme. "Ronghui" represents integration, and "Hui" has a prosperous appearance, symbolizing the integration of art and design under the premise of Shenzhen Hong Kong cooperation. This invitation exhibition interprets the commercial and cultural development of Shenzhen and Hong Kong through their designs. Exploring the outer edges of design from multiple perspectives, seeking to promote mutual development between the two regions while maintaining ecological diversity and reflecting their respective values, with the aim of using this as an opportunity to engage in broader design exchange and dialogue.

The exhibition is organized by the Propaganda Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Shenzhen Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles. The Shenzhen Guan Shanyue Art Museum and the Shenzhen Hua · Art Museum will implement it specifically. This is the second time that Shenzhen has hosted a national art and design exhibition after being awarded the title of "City of Design" by UNESCO. This exhibition consists of four design categories: clothing, graphic design, environmental art, and industry. It showcases 468 re evaluated works, including 57 works from Shenzhen, fully demonstrating the super strength of Shenzhen's design talents. In addition, Shenzhen has 14 nominated works for awards, including 1 gold award, 2 silver awards, 1 bronze award, and 2 outstanding awards, demonstrating Shenzhen's strength as a "design capital".

The Graphic Design Exhibition in China is a national professional design competition initiated and organized by several renowned graphic designers in Shenzhen. Today, many outstanding designers in China have emerged here and received attention from professional fields. This activity has become a platform for designers to take off and a cradle for the emergence of a new generation of excellent designers. The "Graphic Design in China" exhibition constantly puts forward new design ideas, but also constantly leads the pace of Chinese graphic design progress.
