Since its establishment, based on its own characteristics and the long-term development goals of the art museum, the Guan Shanyue Art Museum has established an academic positioning of "focusing on the research of Guan Shanyue art and balancing the research of 20th century Chinese art and contemporary art". At the same time, in response to the strategic deployment of the Shenzhen Municipal Government to build a "City of Design", research on contemporary design art has also become an important research direction for our art museum in recent years. Since its opening, our art museum has held a series of academic exhibitions, including "Humanistic Care - Guan Shanyue Figure Painting Exhibition", "Passionate Years - Mao Zedong's Poetic and Revolutionary Holy Land Works Exhibition", and "Building a New China - Chinese Painting Exhibition in the 1950s and mid-1960s". We have also published over 60 books, including the Guan Shanyue Art Research Series, the 20th Century Chinese Art Research Series, and various domestic and foreign artist studies. In addition, the quarterly newsletter and annual yearbook are also one of the public platforms that our art museum has long adhered to for external promotion. They provide a more in-depth and comprehensive display and report on our art museum's research, collection, exhibition, public education, and other aspects of work to scholars in various industries and the general public.
