"Chuangku（Literal meaning in Chinese：A space and community for creativity）" is a group of contemporary artists living in Shenzhen. They are like a group of artistic migratory birds, seeking the breath of avant-garde culture, cruising through the mangroves of contemporary cultural cities, searching for ecological wetlands to inhabit. The migratory birds of this group of art take creating and contemplating contemporary art as the norm of life. Their behavior and art are the most sensitive and vivid elements that constitute the cultural color of a city.

In the mid-1980s, with the influx of various Western cultures and arts, Shenzhen, as the forefront of reform and opening up, attracted a large number of outstanding photography talents from across the country, making Shenzhen a pioneer in professional photography and maintaining a sharp perspective and open attitude. However, to truly study and showcase the contemporary nature of photography and its involvement in sociology from an academic perspective, there is still a need for qualitative breakthroughs in Shenzhen. The original intention of the "Estimate The Distance By The Eye - Contemporary Photography 8-Person Exhibition" was to attempt to interpret the multiple possibilities of photography as a subjective narrative method from the perspective of contemporary art.

Zhengzhou Art Museum (Zhengzhou Academy of Fine Arts), as a professional institution for art creation and research in Zhengzhou City, is a base for cultivating outstanding art creation talents and launching excellent art works. It is also a multi-functional art museum that integrates creative research, academic exchange, collection research, exhibition display, and teaching and training. Henan is a famous historical and cultural province with profound traditional cultural heritage. The works of the painters from Zhengzhou Academy of Painting come from tradition and life, influenced by the culture of the Central Plains, blending ancient and modern Chinese and Western cultures, with different appearances. Through their works, we can deeply feel the magnificent charm of Central Plains culture.

Japan has a long history of printmaking, and has a deep connection with traditional Chinese woodcut and folk printing techniques. The representative form of Japanese printmaking, ukiyo-e, played an important role in the development of Impressionist painting in the 19th century. Contemporary Japanese printmaking adheres to the exquisite and delicate craftsmanship tradition of traditional printmaking, and presents a contemporary connotation of openness and conservatism in concept, forming a unique appearance that is different from traditional ukiyo-e, Chinese printmaking, and Western contemporary printmaking. The purpose of this exhibition is to introduce the current situation of Japanese printmaking and provide useful reference for the development of contemporary Chinese printmaking.
