The "2015 Shenzhen Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Annual Exhibition", hosted by the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles and organized by the Shenzhen Calligraphers Association, was grandly opened at the Guan Shanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen at 3:30 pm on November 24, 2015.

 The Shenzhen Photographers Association has recently solicited member works, coordinated talents, sorted out achievements, and categorized them. They showcase a magnificent and dazzling array of works. Not only does it record what is seen all over the world, leave the imprints of time, capture fragments of time, and present the appearance of life, it can be said to be full of vitality. If the predecessors have observed it, they should envy and praise it; if future generations come to it, they should lament and cherish the national heritage.

The 11th Shenzhen Painter Painting Shenzhen Exhibition, titled "Chinese Dream · Surrounding Scenery - Shenzhen Painter Painting Shenzhen Exhibition", is jointly organized by the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Shenzhen Artists Association, and Shenzhen Academy of Painting. Unlike previous editions, this time the organizers have fully mobilized members of the Shenzhen Artists Association and art enthusiasts in our city to study the spirit of President Xi Jinping's speeches at the cultural and artistic symposium, practice grassroots and down-to-earth culture, and go deep into various districts of the city to collect and create art, giving birth to a batch of art masterpieces with the theme of "Chinese Dream· Scenery beside the Body".

 This year's nominated exhibition and forum will focus on printmaking as the research and exhibition object. A recommended academic team consisting of 16 printmaking professional institutions, including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, will participate in the exhibition. After sorting and analyzing contemporary art scenes related to printmaking in China, with the 70s and 80s as the main creative forces, 35 outstanding young artists with experimental and expanding abilities in this field have been selected, and have formed their own unique appearance and aesthetic character. Along with their brilliant works, there is also the academic philosophy of young critics with the same growth background as them.

 Unconsciously, in the golden autumn of Pengcheng, we welcome the second exhibition of "The Combination of North and South - Inviting Young Masters in Contemporary Chinese Painting". This means that as a permanent exhibition item of the Guangdong Artists Association Planning Committee, the "North South Integration" has taken a solid step towards stability.

 Ten years ago, when looking back at the history of Shenzhen, such as organizing exhibitions on its development or writing books to describe urban evolution, we were troubled by the lack of systematic visual references. Ten years ago, a group of excellent photographers had emerged in Shenzhen, and documentary photography was flourishing, attracting the attention of the national photography industry. However, Shenzhen has not yet established a dedicated exhibition competition or professional mechanism to gather and encourage them. It is in this historical context that the "Wucheng Wuxiang" photography annual exhibition emerged.

 In the process of the development of "freehand oil painting" over the past decade, many artists have spontaneously organized continuous sketching, exhibitions, and academic exchange activities. In order to showcase the development of the "freehand oil painting" school and promote the discussion of the academic topic of "freehand oil painting", the Shenzhen Guan Shanyue Art Museum has initiated the hosting of the "Inheritance of Culture - A Study Exhibition of Famous Masters of the Chinese Freehand Oil Painting School", which is of great significance in collecting achievements and promoting research.

 This exhibition is a touring exhibition of the "Xu Qinsong Creation Award" series of activities, showcasing the works of outstanding students who won the Xu Qinsong Creation Award among the eight major universities in the province in 2015. Since last year, the Xu Qinsong Creation Award has been established simultaneously in eight universities in Guangdong Province (Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, South China Normal University, Guangzhou University, Jinan University, South China Agricultural University, Shenzhen University, Shantou University, and Zhaoqing College). I hope to use this opportunity to inspire students to work hard in creating and contribute to the cultivation of more excellent young painters in Guangdong.
