Ding Guanjia

Art Introduction:

Born in November 1937 on Chongming Island at the mouth of the Yangtze River, with ancestral roots in Jiyang, Shandong. Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Nanjing Normal University in July 1960. I began to engage in professional research and creation of calligraphy and painting in the autumn of 1978. Formerly served as the Vice President and Dean of Zhenjiang Chinese Painting Academy for 20 years.

The works have participated in over 20 large-scale art exhibitions in more than 10 countries and regions, including the UK, Japan, France, the US, Russia, Australia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The Hundred Year Chinese Painting Exhibition (1901-2000) and the Collection of 30 Contemporary Chinese Painting Masters in the 1930s were selected as painters. Since 1987, 20 solo exhibitions have been held in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Japan, Germany, Canada, Switzerland and other countries and regions. Published 10 volumes of art collections and over 30 articles and theories. The works have been collected by the National Art Museum of China, the China Artists Association, Jiangsu and Guangdong Provincial Art Museums, Anhui, Guangdong, Zhejiang and other provincial museums, as well as the Mannheim Art Museum in Germany. I am currently the Vice Chairman of the China Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee, a member of the China Artists Association and the China Calligraphy Association, a national first-class artist, and enjoy special government allowances from the State Council. I moved to Beijing in 2002.
