Hua Jianguo, Han ethnicity, from Kaifeng City, Henan Province. Born in November 1958. National first-class artist, member of the China Artists Association, currently serving as the director of the Henan Provincial Art Museum and vice chairman of the Henan Provincial Artists Association.

In 2002, the work "Portrait of Yan'an" was selected for the "National Art Exhibition Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong's Speech on May 23rd" and was rated as an excellent work in the country.
