The introduction of visual cultural concepts has led to many visual production methods and products that were once abandoned outside of traditional art history narratives, gradually becoming the main focus of serious research. At the same time, the rapid development of contemporary digital and information technology has expanded the possibilities of artistic expression and display as never before. The purpose of this exhibition is to liberate new ways of thinking and technological means from bizarre experimental fields and impetuous imitation shows, and explore the connection between traditional Chinese culture and its values and contemporary forms of expression. As one of the most famous works in classical Chinese opera, "The Romance of the Western Chamber" has gradually formed three relatively independent and closely related text systems: text, performance, and images since the Ming Dynasty. In visual terms, it covers multiple fields such as stage, printmaking, film, and folk arts. The exhibition is themed around "The Records of the Western Chamber", selecting several specimens from ancient and modern visual culture for display, using digital imaging, 3D imaging, e-books and other technical means. The intention can be traced back to the cultural interpretation of "The Records of the Western Chamber" by Ming Dynasty scholar Min Yuwu from the perspective of "fantasy".
