This year marks the 30th anniversary of China's reform and opening up, and for Shenzhen, this important town of reform and opening up, it has even more special commemorative significance. Over the past thirty years, Shenzhen has not only created economic miracles, but also put forward a forward-looking strategic policy of building a city through culture. As a window of urban culture, Guan Shanyue Art Museum has seized the historical opportunity to build Shenzhen's art industry with a proactive, open concept and down-to-earth attitude. Through ten years of effort, we have not only organized academic exchanges and artistic creation activities, planned and held multiple influential academic exhibitions, but also made "research and collection" an important academic positioning. We have collected the exquisite works of numerous contemporary art masters and famous painters at home and abroad, accumulating precious artistic wealth for this young city.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the reform and opening up, we have launched the "Overseas Oil Painting Exhibition of the Guan Shanyue Art Museum Collection" through careful planning and careful screening. Part of this exhibition consists of Russian paintings. Russian painting has a long history and a distinct realistic painting philosophy, which has had a significant impact on China's art education and public aesthetics for a period of time. The exhibition showcases the artworks of masters such as the former dean of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts, academician of the Academy of Fine Arts, and people's artist O. Yermeyev, current vice dean V. Besikov, academician Nikolai Lebin of the Academy of Fine Arts, and rising star You Kalyuda. In addition, we have also showcased a collection of high-quality works from overseas artists in recent years, including Danish contemporary artists Mike Quinn, Kit Winter, French artists Ken Denning, Haffa Ali Madavi, and German Chinese artist Dan Fan, all of whom have moved audiences around the world with their highly personalized art.
We believe that the exhibition of this overseas oil painting exhibition will not only deepen our understanding of overseas art, promote the exchange of Chinese and foreign art, but also encourage us to strengthen our collection efforts, so that the public can more enjoy the cultural achievements brought about by Shenzhen's reform and opening up.
