  • Childlike state

In recent years, Liang Xingsheng has created a number of figure paintings with children as the theme. This exploration attempt has opened a Xintiandi for his creation. Starting from one's own children, extending to the various living conditions of children seen in daily life, these touching scenes of human life that have not been disciplined in the early stages are carefully observed, depicted, and frozen. The observation of children is not only a reflection on the life state they have experienced but have long forgotten, but also a re examination of their own life process and values.

    old friends and new acquaintances

In Liang Xingsheng's paintings, a considerable number of works depict portraits of teachers, friends, and individuals, which is a modern transformation of the ancient and enduring art of portrait painting. These works mostly feature portraits from live sketches, as well as group portraits. They come in different types, some showcasing highly realistic techniques, such as lifelike portraiture, combining form and spirit, and playing the role of portrait painting as a social media; Between realism and freehand brushwork, it highlights the sense of form and interest in painting; There are also some profound meanings that deconstruct and reorganize classic works in art history, giving them a unique meaning.

    Theme Narrative

Theme based art creation is a rising topic in the field of Chinese art today, with the dominant idea of seeking painters to pay attention to significant or specific political, social, historical, and cultural issues. In the field of Chinese painting, compared to landscape and flowers and birds, figure painting has a unique advantage in thematic art creation. As a figure painter, Liang Xingsheng has long demonstrated sensitivity to thematic art creation, with topics such as construction workers, historical celebrities, local historical stories, and more being involved. Through his thematic art creations, one can perceive the shadows of contemporary social life.

    Floating World Phase

A considerable number of Liang Xingsheng's figure paintings depict various characters from social life. These works play multiple roles in their artistic creation, and are mostly based on live sketches, serving as demonstrations for students in teaching. But these works are not just simple and casual illustrations. Each artist takes a serious attitude towards them, carefully scrutinizing their composition, form, color, brushwork, and scenes, hoping to explore the inner world of the characters through personal observation, perceive the various social and sentient beings in the world, and establish a connection between the individual painter and contemporary society.
