The 11th Ink and Ink Art Exchange Exhibition, jointly organized by Shenzhen Guanshan Yue Art Museum and Korea Yizhai Art Museum, titled "Beauty of the Four Seasons - China Korea Ink and Ink Art Exchange Exhibition," opened on December 4, 2014 at Shenzhen Guanshan Yue Art Museum. This exchange activity is a long-term collaboration between the Guan Shan Yue Art Museum and the Gwangju Yi Zhai Art Museum in South Korea. It has been ongoing for ten years and more than 80 ink and wash works from 36 Chinese and Korean artists have participated in the exhibition.

Since 2004, the Guan Shan Yue Art Museum and the Gwangju Yi Zhai Art Museum in South Korea have become friendly museums, and have reached a plan to jointly host ink painting exchange exhibitions in Gwangju, South Korea and Shenzhen, China the following year. The two museums have successfully held ten ink painting exchange exhibitions in both places and organized relevant academic seminars.

This exhibition is conducted through the recommendation of artists from multiple art museums in both countries, which has received support from various art museums across the country. In this exhibition, art institutions such as the China National Art Museum, Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum, Wuhan Art Museum, Shaanxi Provincial Art Museum, Sichuan Art Museum, Heilongjiang Art Museum, Henan Provincial Art Museum, and Dalian Zhongshan Art Museum have all recommended outstanding artists to participate in this exhibition.

The theme of this exchange exhibition is "Beauty of the Four Seasons". China and South Korea, located in East Asia, not only have a long historical identity in traditional culture, but also have similar geographical climates. The beauty of the four seasons in East Asia can be said to be the spiritual habitat that Eastern peoples have always dreamed of. People have experienced the connotations of the four seasons as early as the Middle Ages through the change of solar terms. Those whispers and shallow singing in the cycle of seasons reveal the subtle and long-lasting thoughts of Eastern culture. Over the past thousand years, countless literati and ink figures have added rich humanistic connotations to the understanding of the ups and downs of winter and summer. This curation aims to re understand the spirit of traditional art through the aesthetic roots of both countries, and hopes that artists from China and South Korea can interpret the beauty of the seasons with the spirit of modern people. It conveys a modern artist's insight and exploration of the spirit of Eastern art.

It is reported that the exhibition will continue until December 14th.
