"Happiness in Longmen: A New Exhibition of Longmen Peasant Paintings," jointly organized by the Guan Shanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen and the Cultural, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports Bureau of Longmen County, will be held from August 2 to September 22, 2024, on the third floor of the Guan Shanyue Art Museum. The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held at 3:00 PM on August 2 in the preface hall on the first floor of the art museum.

This exhibition features 117 farmer paintings and several physical exhibits, including nearly 100 new works created in the past ten years. At the same time, our art museum has compiled the outstanding works from two previous "Longmen Farmer Painting Exhibitions" together and systematically reviewed and commented on the development process of Longmen farmer paintings, publishing the "Happiness in Longmen: A Collection of Longmen Peasant Paintings" to express our sincere respect for the farmer painters. During the exhibition, our art museum will host multiple promotional and educational activities to introduce the refreshing Longmen farmer paintings to urban audiences, encouraging everyone to jointly pay attention to and support this blossoming flower of folk art.
