  • The "Oriental Home - Sino Korean Ink Art Exchange Exhibition" jointly organized by the Guan Shan Yue Art Museum and the Gwangju Yi Zhai Art Museum in South Korea will open on the afternoon of November 9, 2012 at the Guan Shan Yue Art Museum. A total of 49 Chinese and Korean painters will participate in the exhibition, showcasing more than 90 new works by artists from both countries. Since the establishment of the Guan Shan Yue Art Museum and the Yi Zhai Art Museum in Gwangju, South Korea as friendly museums in 2004, the plan has been reached to jointly host ink painting exchange exhibitions in Gwangju, South Korea and Shenzhen, China the following year. This year's China South Korea ink painting exchange exhibition is the ninth edition, providing a platform for the art circles of China and South Korea, especially artists engaged in ink painting creation, to deepen understanding and communication, with practical significance, and has had a good impact on the art circles of both countries.

The theme of the "Oriental Home - China South Korea Ink Art Exchange Exhibition" demonstrates the cultural attitude of Eastern art, calling for our imagination and creation of the "Oriental Home" through ink painting. The ink painting of the "Oriental Home" by artists from China and South Korea is actually a concern for the current social development, care for the natural ecology, and nostalgia for traditional culture. The curation concept of "Oriental Home" will gather and inspire more artists to demonstrate their passion and talent in the field of ink painting. Their works will elaborate on the unique understanding and beautiful memories of "home" by artists and knowledgeable individuals from different perspectives.
