  • Mr. Wu Qi, who has been in art for sixty years, is one of the few outstanding artists in the contemporary painting industry in terms of poetry, calligraphy, and painting. His poetry is refreshing and charming, with profound meanings; His calligraphy skills are solid, his brushstrokes are powerful, and he possesses his own style, fully showcasing the grandeur of everyone. Wu Qi's landscape paintings are like a resounding and unrestrained melody that moves from the ground, depicting not only the bones of mountains and rivers but also the gods of mountains and rivers. They are like "the water of the Yellow River rises from the sky" and "the great river flows eastward", with a grand and profound momentum. They are not only the display of the soul of the Chinese nation, but also a self portrait of his spiritual person. Observing them, there is a fresh and compelling aura that gives people a kind of spiritual shock and satisfaction in the enjoyment of beauty.

Mr. Wu Qi is honest, straightforward, and sincere. He is not only talented, but also has a unique personality charm to attract painting friends. The reform and opening up thought that at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he had created paintings for Chinese embassies and consulates in Italy, the United States, Finland, Canada, Chile, Austria, etc. The above works are mostly voluntary contributions, reflecting the valuable qualities and spiritual outlook of a Communist Party member artist.

In the 1990s, Professor Wu Qi was a Chinese member of the World Council of the International Society for Art Education of UNESCO, and one of the three world directors in Asia. In December 1992, with the approval of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the provincial government, the "International Symposium on Asian Art Education" was successfully hosted and held in Nanchang. Nearly a hundred experts and professors from home and abroad attended the four-day grand event, which received enthusiastic feedback and had a profound impact. Due to the significant contributions of numerous calligraphy and painting creations and participation in international cultural exchanges, it has been recognized as a world-renowned cultural figure by international authoritative cultural institutions and has received special allowances from experts with outstanding contributions from the State Council.
