This year marks the 100th anniversary of Mr. Guan Shanyue's birth and also the 15th anniversary of our museum's establishment. In such a special year, we plan to hold a series of special exhibitions, including "Mountain and Moon Paintings - Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Guan Shanyue's Birthday Art Exhibition", and work together with the Nanjing Museum to jointly hold the "Jiangshan So Beautiful - Nanjing Museum's Collection of Fu Baoshi Boutique Exhibition", which has extraordinary significance.

　　Mr. Fu Baoshi is not only a master of traditional Chinese painting who created a new trend, but also a pioneer in the study of Chinese art history, an outstanding carver of gold, stone, seal, and art education. He is diligent throughout his life and has been engaged in research on gold, stone, seal carving, and Chinese art history for a long time, with abundant writings; He devoted his whole life to the innovation of Chinese painting, integrating Western painting techniques on the basis of traditional Chinese painting. His unique "Baoshi Cuan" technique is completely different from the traditional center and side strokes, standing out in the Chinese painting world. His landscape paintings are grand and majestic, with bold brushstrokes and bold strokes, adept at expressing the majestic atmosphere of vastness and confusion; Figure painting emphasizes the portrayal of spiritual and emotional states, with sincere emotions and rich artistic conception, reflecting a strong personality and sense of the times.

　　In the history of modern and contemporary art in our country, Fu Baoshi and Guan Shanyue are undoubtedly two giants in the art world. Their masterpiece "Jiangshan So Many Beauties" created for the Great Hall of the People in 1959 is a well-known masterpiece and a groundbreaking work in art history. In 1961, they went to Northeast China to sketch together. In two intimate collaborations and interactions, they established a deep friendship and left behind beautiful stories. As Fu Baoshi wrote in the preface of his "Fu Baoshi Guan Shan Yue Northeast Sketching Painting Collection": "A painting that is unfinished often leaves the brush several times and sits together to discuss, ponder and help each other..." From their artistic practice and works, we can feel that; Striving to explore new techniques through new life experiences and constantly exploring the themes and artistic conception of Chinese painting is their common pursuit. We will showcase the exquisite works of Guan Shanyue and Fu Baoshi from the Nanjing Museum in our museum, and specifically organize and explain their friendship experiences. Through a combination of pictures and text, we aim to recreate the common pursuit and mutual understanding of the two Chinese painting masters in artistic creation through the exhibition.

　　The study of Chinese art in the mid to late 20th century has always been an academic focus of our museum's continuous attention. With the support of the Nanjing Museum, the "Nanjing Museum Collection of Fu Baoshi's Fine Works Exhibition" can be held in our museum, which is not only the best way for us to express our high respect and deep nostalgia for art masters, but also provides a rare opportunity for citizens and art enthusiasts to appreciate Mr. Fu Baoshi's works.
