Since its opening, the Guan Shanyue Art Museum has attached great importance to the collection of art works and related historical documents, and has established an art committee to guide the collection work; The collection work revolves around the research and exhibition of Guan Shanyue Art and Chinese Art and Contemporary Design Art in the mid to late 20th century. We have identified five main collection directions for our museum, including the collection of Guan Shanyue's works, Lingnan School art works, art works from the mid to late 20th century, contemporary design art works, and other types of art works. After more than 20 years of practice, we have formulated the "Regulations on Collection Management of Guan Shanyue Art Museum", which detailed the collection direction and focus, collection procedures, and relevant requirements for collection management of our museum.
In response to the instructions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on the revitalization of collections, our museum has planned this exhibition of exquisite oil paintings in our collection to present exciting oil paintings to the audience. The exhibition selected some high-quality oil paintings from the museum's collection, including representative and important oil painters from home and abroad, and comprehensively showcased the collection achievements and academic system of the Guan Shanyue Art Museum. As an important way to benefit the people through culture, our museum will gradually launch a series of exhibitions showcasing its collection of high-quality products to the general public. Finally, thank you to the Shenzhen Special Fund for the Development of Propaganda and Culture for its strong support of our museum's collection work!
