"Non·Frequently White—The Aesthetic Exhibition of 'Chinese White Dehua Porcelain'"

"White as snow, bright as a mirror, thin as paper, resonant as a chime, smooth as jade." This is the world-renowned "Chinese White" — Dehua white porcelain. Its whiteness embodies the externalization of the five virtues: benevolence, righteousness, wisdom, courage, and purity; its form represents the harmony of mind and hand in creation; and its vessels bear witness to the unity of Dao and artifact. The "Non·Common White" special exhibition at the Guan Shanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen brings together over 220 pieces (sets) of ancient and modern Dehua porcelain treasures, tracing the evolutionary lineage of Dehua porcelain from antiquity to the present. Here, experience the aesthetic charm spanning millennia and touch the perfect fusion of Eastern philosophy and ceramic art.

From the typical artifacts and statues of Dehua porcelain art in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, to the legendary stories of the sunken ships "Taixing" and "Nanhai No. 1," and further to the representative masterpieces of contemporary artists,

Over 220 sets of ancient and modern treasures were displayed together, with exhibits worth hundreds of millions, offering an immersive experience of the aesthetic heritage passed down for millennia.

The exhibition employs a tripartite curatorial approach—"Extraordinary Way," "Extraordinary Form," and "Extraordinary Artifact"—to deeply integrate Dehua white porcelain with the philosophical traditions of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. It invites visitors to not only appreciate the porcelain but also to comprehend the essence of "以" (to take as...)

The cultural core of the "Dehua people.".
