At the same time, this exhibition is also an important practice of our museum's "Guan Shanyue and the Study of Chinese Art in the Middle and Late 20th Century" series. The systematic collection and research of Lin Fengsu's works have profound significance for the construction of our academic system. As a student of Mr. Guan Shanyue and Mr. Li Xiongcai, he not only continued the innovative spirit of the Lingnan School of Painting, but also expanded the language boundaries of modern landscape painting with his lifelong creations. Of particular importance is that in his later years, Mr. Lin Fengsu donated a batch of precious works such as his representative work "Cotton Tree" to our museum. This is not only a tribute to his mentor, but also a conscious continuation of Mr. Guan Shanyue's cultural act of donating his lifelong works to Shenzhen. This cross temporal teacher-student friendship and cultural trust have deepened the spiritual inheritance of Lingnan painting studies and injected a profound humanistic heritage into Shenzhen's urban culture. We look forward to using this exhibition as an opportunity to promote a deeper understanding of the modern transformation of Lingnan painting among the public, and to witness the spiritual dialogue between a city and a generation of artists in the inheritance and donation of culture.
