This summer, sailing on an artistic night boat towards the pinnacle of sound waves

Since being the first to open at night in 2023, Guan Shanyue Art Museum's "Art Museum Night" has become a golden signboard of Shenzhen's cultural welfare for the people. The annual theme of this year's event is "Art Night Boat Enters the Boundless Art Museum". Through various forms such as drama, music, and handicrafts, different types of art collide to create new sparks. This event is held in the summer season, with the theme of "Starting with Wave Art and Touching Summer", creating a summer art adventure in the art museum. We hope to use the rhythm of music and the collision of colors to dispel the physical and psychological fatigue caused by high temperatures, inject poetry and ritual into daily life, and also hope that every audience who enters the "Night at the Art Museum" is like opening a three-dimensional book, with every page full of surprises.

The evening event started from the third floor of Guanshan Yue Art Museum, and the children's ukulele band from Futian Art Association kicked off the night of the art museum with a clear and childlike voice. The performance began with a soothing heavenly song "One Voice", followed by the theme song "Try Everything" from the animated movie "Zootopia" and the warm and sunny "You Are My Sunshine". The children's band played and sang at the same time, pushing the atmosphere to a climax. Subsequently, Chinese young guitarist Deng Yuda made his debut with his graceful string music, ranging from the atmospheric "Melody of Night" to the classic guitar song "Romance of Love". The sound of the guitar quietly conversed with the ecological themed posters of Akiyama Takahashi and the peaceful themed works of Aoba Yoshiaki in the exhibition hall, creating an artistic narrative that transcends dimensions.

Here, the resonance between "audible art" and "visual design" is formed, where children's tender singing meets the melodious melody of classical guitar in the exhibition hall, like ripples spreading layer by layer, creating a composite aesthetic experience that transcends a single medium. The integration of sound art and visual design works brings a refreshing artistic experience to the audience.

The theme of 'Summer' is not only an event, but also a pioneering experiment on how art can intervene in life. The creative interactive area set up at the check-in counter allows viewers to personally create themed refrigerator stickers. The curatorial team has selected six exhibits that combine visual tension and social value as materials, including Mr. Guan Shanyue's classic works "Cotton Pigeons" and "Geese in the Southern and Northern Boundaries", as well as environmental themed posters featuring Akiyama Takahashi and Aoba Yihui. The event invites the audience to bring a touch of summer coolness with colorful and creative refrigerator stickers on this heat wave swept summer night.

Ms. Wang, who carefully selected patterns with her child on site, said, "In the past, when visiting art museums, I loved to buy refrigerator stickers as souvenirs. This time, I was able to choose my favorite patterns and make refrigerator stickers myself to take home, leaving behind a different memory.

Boundless Extension: Artistic Roaming from Exhibition Halls to Life

Continuing the annual theme of 'Art Night Boat', this night at the art museum, we lead the audience to embark on a nighttime art journey, aesthetic experience, and knowledge accumulation in the museum. Viewers stroll through the exhibition hall amidst the melodious music of ukuleles and classical guitars, experiencing the creative power of "Design · Pioneer". They can also personally create their favorite creative refrigerator stickers.

That evening, all three exhibition halls of the Guanshanyue Art Museum were opened. The "Embracing the Past and Present: Dawn Research Exhibition" and "Flames Casting Bones - National Spirit Atlas in Guanshanyue Art" exhibited on the first and second floors respectively were special research exhibitions of two Lingnan painting masters, Leon Lai and Guanshanyue. The "Design · Pioneer - Exhibition of Domestic and Overseas Graphic Design Works in the Collection" on the third floor focused on showcasing the design poster works in the Guanshanyue Art Museum collection, selecting more than 100 pieces from over 3000 collections, triggering the audience's reflection on the symbiotic relationship between design and urban innovation culture.
