This year's May Day International Labor Day, as usual, I cannot rest. I went to the Shenzhen Guanshan Moon Art Museum to provide free guided tours for citizens. I was assigned to guide Mr. Guan Shanyue's "Life Exhibition" and "Works Exhibition" on the second floor. There are very few visitors to the second floor on weekdays, even during the Spring Festival period. However, during the May Day holiday, there were many viewers, which was a bit surprising as it exceeded the Spring Festival holiday.

In three days, I guided a total of five shows. It takes at least one and a half hours to complete two exhibition halls in each session. On the last day of the show, I happened to encounter a few girls who were digging into the details. There were so many questions, so I had to extend the guide time to two hours. In addition, other volunteer students also need to help gather the audience and maintain order when guiding, walking and standing non-stop for at least 5-6 hours every day, which is really tiring. After returning home on the first day, I couldn't get up sitting on the sofa; After returning home the next day, I fell down and slept for two hours; After returning home on the third day, I almost collapsed and only recovered after taking a hot bath. Although tired, taking a two-day break will help me recover. Let's just think of it as fitness.

Being so tired is even more tiring than the guidance of crowds during the Spring Festival. At first, I thought I was getting older and my body couldn't withstand it anymore. Later on, it was learned that the young volunteer classmates were also exhausted. For example, Xiaoyao, a student who usually loves sports and insists on long-distance running for several kilometers every day, is jokingly known as a "sports powerhouse". Her physical strength can be imagined, but it was only after her "May Day" service that she "slept for two days" that she regained her energy. And the youngest student, Xiao Liu, actually "slept for nine hours" before getting up after participating in the activity and returning home I remember not long ago, when senior teacher Dong Xiaoming brought a group of guests to visit the museum, he said, "Watching art exhibitions is very tiring." I thought to myself, yes, it's also tiring to provide guidance services for art exhibitions. It's not only mental labor, but also physical labor.

Fortunately, the audience's enthusiasm somewhat comforted us.

In the central display cabinet of the exhibition hall (as shown below), there is the original copy of Guan Lao's "hand scrolled work" and "Mountain Village Leap Forward".

The 813 works donated by Guan Lao to Shenzhen include 35 calligraphy works. I don't understand calligraphy and dare not speak recklessly. But the artistic ideas of Guan Lao and the cultural knowledge of Chinese couplets contained in this calligraphy work of Guan Lao still aroused strong interest from the audience.

Senior volunteer classmates have repeatedly reminded us not to chatter incessantly during guidance and to "try to interact with the audience as much as possible.". So I "preset" multiple "points of interest" in the tour guide to inspire audience interaction. However, the audience was hesitant to speak in front of this calligraphy piece.

Finally, an elderly person from Shaanxi gave the answer with a strong Shaanxi accent. And it's correct!

Shaanxi, the land of heaven and earth. Sure enough, there is a rich cultural heritage and a rich cultural heritage.

The most unexpected and joyful thing was that I met several groups of my audience "fans" within three days, almost every day. Or a family of three, or a couple of two, or a mother and daughter of two Those who support the elderly and children, as soon as they come in, they look around and run over to greet me warmly and proactively like old friends.

At first, I was a bit surprised, but after talking, I realized that this was my "fan"! Some of them heard my guidance at the Sino French Art Exchange Exhibition a month ago, while others heard my guidance at the Youth Artist Nomination Exhibition two months ago

Seeing me again, they are certainly very happy and hope to hear my guidance again (which the audience refers to as "explanation"). The audience remembers me, but I can't remember the audience. They don't say, I don't know.

I am very happy.

I am happy, not because the audience remembers me. But they remembered my farewell message from the last visit——

"I suggest you visit the art museum every month, or every two months, or at least once a year, as you will see different art exhibitions..."

The audience's "fans" came to the museum again to listen to volunteer guidance, indicating that our promotion work has been effective. Citizens have started paying attention to the exhibitions in art museums and have learned to visit them regularly.

As a "cultural volunteer", when guiding, one also needs to learn to interact with various people and deal with unexpected events. A slight mistake may lead to mistakes. That day, I met a young audience who seemed to have gone crazy and put forward some strange opinions, constantly pestering me and Xiao Yao. We can neither firmly reject his views nor have time to play with him. Fortunately, a senior audience member stepped forward and I was able to withdraw. Going home in the evening, summarizing for a long time.

After three days of service, Xiao Yao, who was fighting together, enthusiastically invited me to take a group photo in front of Guan Lao's statue.

Unfortunately, several other volunteer classmates such as Chen Xiaoqing, Zhan Wei, Zeng Xiaoqin I left early and couldn't take a group photo together.

On May Day International Labor Day, I also worked for three whole days. But very happy!
