On the 16th, the "Who is Guan Shanyue? - Guan Shanyue Art Appreciation" series of activities visited the Peace Chinese and English School in Bao'an District, a school for migrant workers. The collection of art works, related art lectures, art brochures, and digital resources of the Guan Shan Yue Art Museum bring an art feast to this school, which mainly focuses on children of migrant workers. For most children here, watching works of art masters from large art museums is still a novel experience.
This event is jointly organized by Shenzhen Guanshan Yue Art Museum and Bao'an District Education and Science Training Center.
The "Who is Guan Shan Yue? - Art Appreciation Series Activities" that entered Bao'an this time is an important project of Guan Shan Yue Art Museum's "Art on Campus" in 2015. It is also another expansion of Guan Shan Yue Art Museum since signing the "Museum School Interconnection Cooperation Agreement" with the Futian District Education and Research Center in Shenzhen in 2013. It is also a prelude to the "Pairing and Culture Planting" activities of Guan Shan Yue Art Museum and Bao'an District Cultural Museum for civilized construction and cultural sharing. Since April, this series of activities has been carried out at Hongya Primary School, Xin'an Middle School, Bao'an First Foreign Language School, and Heping Chinese and English School in Bao'an District, benefiting more than 10000 primary and secondary school students.
The event held at the Heping Chinese and English School in Bao'an District is the fourth in this series of activities. Starting from June 16th, more than 20 paintings by Mr. Guan Shanyue will be exhibited at the Peace Art Museum next to the Peace Chinese and English School. It is understood that Heping Chinese and English School is a large-scale nine-year consistent private public assistance school in Bao'an District, with 5000 students from migrant workers. The Peace Art Museum, which was held at the exhibition, was a comprehensive cultural and art museum renovated by Mr. Huang Dingxia, the founder of the Peace Chinese and English School, with a cost of nearly 1.5 million yuan in 2013. It is also the first public welfare cultural activity service institution in Shenzhen that is based on the community, serves the community, faces migrant workers, parents, and students. The "Who is Guan Shan Yue?" event was held here, attracting many school students and community residents to attend the exhibition, reflecting the fair care of public art institutions for migrant workers.
